news.San Diego-based genetic testing laboratory, Pathway Genomics, has collaborated with Diagnosticos da America (DASA).

Under the partnership, DASA’s physicians will have access to Pathway’s Cardiac Health Insight and Pathway Fit genetic tests which will bring additional personalized care to more than 180 million people in Brazil.
Pathway Fit test addresses patient’s food metabolism and exercise response, while Cardiac Health Insight test provides physicians insight into how various drug responses and genetic risk effect patient’s genes and lead to various heart diseases.
Pathway Genomics chief medical officer Michael Nova said the company’s vision is to responsibly reveal personalized and actionable genetic information in order to globally educate, inform and improve health and well-being.
"Our alignment with DASA is a major part of this vision, and we are excited to help bring this scientifically-advanced technology to the people of Brazil," Nova added.
DASA chief operating officer Octavio Fernandes said, "The partnership between DASA and Pathway represents a milestone in Brazilian medicine, ensuring access to predictive genetic tests through an advanced and innovative technology."
